Thanks for visiting! I started this blog in 2013 because I truly believe that anyone can – and should! – have a beautiful home. I share my life and an always-being-renovated farmhouse with my amazing husband, 3 boys and our lovable rescue dog in the picturesque Franschhoek valley.
When I’m not designing, making stuff, cooking, blogging and running after my kids and/or dog, I am a contributing writer for various other publications. Oh, and I’ve also written a book and done a TV show. What can I say – I have a full, busy and extraordinary life!
This blog is about everything HOME – how you live in it and how you make it yours. I want to inspire and empower you to create your ultimate home, one where you get nourishment not only for your body but also for your soul. I have collaborated with various people in putting this blog together – this is by no means a one-woman enterprise! – and that is what keeps it fresh and exciting.

Anélle is a mom of two whose official job is that of Jewellery Lady, an exclusive collection of sterling silver jewellery imported from Mexico. But, in her spare time, she loves to bake, upcycle and find new ways of bringing colour into her life and home.
My favourite colour is “colourful”! Things I love most in my kitchen are my Kenwood Chef mixer, my new red SMEG oven and… my silicone spatula!

Tenille is a content writer and a food-obsessed DIY fanatic. She’s a firm believer in upcycling but also loves making useful things from scratch. Her heart is happy when she’s outside or when there is food, and sometimes she tries a dish for the blog!
