What I do isn’t just about making things look good — though I care deeply about that too. My focus is on spatial planning, layouts, and the technical side of interior design: making sure that what gets designed can actually be built, functions the way it should, and holds up in real life. It’s the kind of thinking that sits between the dream and the done.

Over the years I’ve worked across retail, hospitality, and residential projects, often collaborating closely with architects and other consultants to bring all the moving parts into a clear, coordinated outcome. I understand how a space is used, how it needs to flow, and how the decisions made on paper translate into the room you eventually walk into.

I started Homeology in 2013 as a place to share ideas around homes and everyday living — and that original impulse hasn’t changed. Whether it’s a renovation guide, a styling idea, or a deeper look at how we use our spaces, I’m interested in the thinking behind it all.

Alongside my project work, I’ve written for various publications, authored a book, and hosted a television show — all exploring the same thread: how we live in, and make the most of, the spaces around us.

I live in Paarl with my husband, our three boys, and our two dogs. Life is full, which is probably why I’m drawn to spaces that are calm, considered, and practical.
